We have just received a new hanger from the Slender Morris library that I am very excited about. It is a gorgeous print collection named The Abbey Road Collection. There are four colour ranges and each colour has three designs. Portobello V is a lovely floral print in 100% linen, Sussex Stripe is a classic variegated stripe with a composition of 52% linen and 48% cotton and the Bray Flamestitch is also 100% linen. The range would be perfect for a combination of drapes, roman blinds, cushions and light upholstery. The colours are fresh, fun and contemporary whilst still being classical and timeless.

I’m so excited about the lovely new releases of Outdoor fabrics some of our suppliers at Custom Curtains and Shade are bringing out. In Australia we love to live outdoors and that means having furniture outside too. But during our excessive wet seasons things can start to go mouldy. Outdoor fabrics are designed to withstand the elements and can be Water Repellant, Yarn Dyed, which means less fading, and Antifungal. Combined with Outdoor Foam you can have cushions that can stay outside and be a breeze to maintain.

Modern Country Style

Leonie’s lovely country style home in Conondale near Maleny is the perfect setting for our latest installation of curtains and pelmets. After many years of renovating Leonie and Rod were ready for the finishing touches in their home. Having used Custom Curtains and Shade around 13 years ago in their previous home at Witta Leonie asked us once again to fit out her home using fabrics to complement her colour scheme. Curtains were chosen as the best option for all the rooms in the house. To add a touch of intimacy and a little formality pelmets were used in the main living room in fabric from the Wilson Marlene range.
